Suitcase trade is among the most typical phenomena after the liberalization of border crossing and trade regime in the Balkans over the past two decades. The research angle from which this phenomenon is being studied and its evolution includes aspects of grey economy, market niches establishment and control of organized crime over them along with trafficking in cheap Chinese and Turkish goods, and the social impact of consumer goods smuggling etc.
