INHOPE presented at first National conference on children online safety in Serbia
On 18th November, the important role of INHOPE in the global fight against online sexual exploitation of children was presented at the first National conference for children safety in Internet organised in Belgrade by the Serbian Hotline and the Ministry of trade and telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia.

Serbia’s Hotline operated by Fond B92 invited representatives of the Bulgarian Hotline, operated byARC Fund, and the Cybersecurity Sector of the State Agency for National Security of Bulgaria to present their best practice of close co-operation in fighting child sexual abuse material in internet. They presented case studies of joint operations between Australian, Irish and Bulgarian Hotline with the respective law enforcement agencies underlining the major role for the success played by the cooperation between INHOPE members. The INHOPE’s latest statistics and analysis of online threats and trends were presented to an auditorium of around 100 participants.

High officials from Serbia’s ministries of trade and communications, internal affairs, justice, education and the Special Prosecutor Office for Cybercrime, as well as the Ambassador of Australia to Serbia took part in the conference.
