The Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD) is currently implementing a project entitled "Corporate Governance and Mass Media: Building Advocacy Capacity".

Within this project, the third in a series of initiatives sponsored by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), a two-day training seminar took place on 20-21 November, 2001. It brought together journalists and administrators from the printed and electronic media, both national and regional to meet with experts on corporate governance, representatives of the legislature, the State Securities and Exchanges Commission, the private sector and NGOs. The seminar was intended to provide the journalists with the necessary toolkit in order to be able to better cover the developments in the field of corporate governance and become active advocates of the reform in this field.
