On October 24, 2000 the Center for the Study of Democracy organized jointly with the Bulgarian Institute for Analysis and Studies (BIAS) a Seminar on Electoral Law and Electoral Systems in Balkan Countries. Possibilities for changes in Bulgaria. The event was attended by legal experts, representatives of the major political parties, the executive and NGOs.
Dr. Maria Yordanova, Head of the CSD Law Program
opened the seminar. Dr. Mihail Konstantinov, Chair of the Board of the BIAS presented a comparative analysis of the Balkan countries' electoral and political systems.
