The Draft Law on Electronic Document and Electronic Signature on First Reading in Parliament
In October, 2000, the Committee on Legal Issues and
Anticorruption Legislation at the National Assembly discussed the Draft Law on Electronic Document and Electronic Signature and made a decision to propose the draft for first reading within a plenary session of the Parliament.
This Draft Law is an output of a task force to the Center for the Study of Democracy and has been elaborated through a number of consultations and discussions held with stakeholders' representatives, lawyers and IT experts.
The e-Document and e-Signature Draft Law provides mechanisms for generating an electronic signature and creates favorable conditions for integration in the global electronic markets.
