A Workshop on Minority Policies and Regional Cooperation in Southeast Europe was held in Sofia on May 19 and 20, 2000, jointly organized by the Center for the Study of Democracy and ETHNOBAROMETER Southeast Europe Programme of the Italian Council for Social Sciences (CCS) in Rome.

A number of university professors, representatives of state institutions, non-governmental organizations and experts attended the event to discuss on three major topics - Minority Policies in Bulgaria, Minority Issues in Southeast Europe and The Minorities - Factor in the Regional Cooperation in Southeast Europe.
