On December 4, 2002 the Center for the Study of Democracy donated training equipment to the Academy of the Ministry of Interior in the framework of a project aimed at enhancing the anti-corruption capacity and the education process in the Academy. The donation included books and training materials in fields such as human rights, psychology, criminal investigation, etc.

As the cooperation between CSD and the Academy is supported by the Royal Norwegian government, the Ambassador of Norway Rolf Baltzersen was present at the official ceremony of delivering the equipment and the books. In his speech before the Academic Council and the cadets Ambassador Baltzersen expressed hope that the cooperation between the Academy and the Center for the Study of Democracy will continue in the future in the larger framework of cooperation between Norway and Bulgaria. Ambassador Baltzersen met with the cadets from the Police Department and discussed with them the challenges and the incentives that motivated them to study at the Academy.
