"Criminal Law Issues in Combating Corruption" titles the new brochure of the series of anti-corruption publications of Coalition 2000. Authors of this publication are Mr. Lazar Gruev, associate professor and doctor in law, and Mr. Boris Velchev, doctor in law at "St. Kliment Ohridski" University of Sofia.

The brochure presents legal problems posed by the fight against corruption and especially of those ones in the sphere of the criminal law. The issues concerning the judicial notion of corruption in Bulgarian law, the provisions of the Criminal code providing penalties for corrupt behavior, the treating of corruption in the international law acts and the proceeding changes in Bulgarian legislation are thoroughly introduced and analyzed. Concrete suggestions for future amendments in the existing legal framework are also made on the base of complete analyses of the matter.
