| International seminar on "Countering Corruption" was held at Boyana Residence on October 29-30, 2002. The two-day event was organized by the governmental Anticorruption Commission and the World Bank. The heads of the leading state and non-governmental institutions, engaged in the fight against corruption, the major bilateral and international donor organizations in this sphere, as well as representatives of the media took part in the seminar. Leading experts from the World Bank, USA, Great Britain, Hong-Kong, Australia and Africa held lectures on the various aspects of anticorruption efforts. Experts from the Balkan countries were also invited to the seminar. |
