Elections for the First Ombudsman of Shoumen Municipality
On 30 September, 2004, on a sitting of the Municipal Council of Shoumen municipality, the ex-mayor Mr. Hristo Hristov was elected as the first public ediator (ombudsman) of Shoumen.
The public mediator institution in the municipality of Shoumen was established by Decision No.81 of the Municipal Council on Protocol No.7 of April 29, 2004. By the same decision the Municipal Council adopted Rules on the Organization and Activity of the Public Mediator for the Territory of Shoumen Municipality.
