| As from February 26, 2002, the first ombudsman of Sofia City, the civil observer Antoaneta Tsoneva, will meet people, whose interests had been injured by state authorities. The reception room of the ombudsman will be situated in the building of Sofia Municipality. Sofia ombudsman's obligations include giving expert advice to citizens, who had been mistreated by institutions. The ombudsman also promotes the effective dialogue between the civil society and the state institutions. The project is initiated by Sofia Municipality and the Center for Social Practices and is supported by the Open Society Foundation. |
