The Ministry of Interior set a hot line for corruption signals
On March 4, 2002 the Ministry of Interior set a hot line for corruption signals. Citizens can submit these also over the Internet at a special site. The Deputy Minister of Interior Mr. Boyko Kotzev will announce this in the "We and the Law" program on the "Channel 1" National TV this evening. The complaints should contain the name and address of the sender as to avoid false signals. The Ministry of Interior guarantees their anonymity. Experts are still considering the process in details. Special team of legal experts from the Ministry of Interior will examine the corruption information. Investigative operations will be organized if necessary. The initiative of the Ministry of Interior is part of the anti-corruption action plan of the cabinet. Similar measures are to be applied in other ministries.
