| Bulgaria will be granted USD 6,8 M under an anticorruption program

| Bulgaria is to be granted technical equipment, limited material aid and training courses worth USD 6,8 M under a memorandum of understanding, signed by Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg and Andrew Natsios, Administrator, US Agency for International Development (USAID) on April 25, 2002. The three-year program aims to boost the efficiency of the authorities in the anti-corruption combat, and assist the NGOs working in that field. It will also help the establishment of internal audit in the ministries. The main aim of the anti-corruption program will be increased transparency and reduced corruption in the public administration. | |
