"Countering Crime and Corruption" program of the European Union
The "Countering Crime and Corruption" program of the European Union and the recently adopted National Anti-Corruption Strategy of the government was discussed at a Round Table on December 14, 2001. The forum, organized by Transparency International Bulgarian Chapter and the Civil Society Development Foundation, introduced the representatives of the civil organizations and associations to the most successful projects, financed by the EU program and proposed current anti-corruption strategies to the NGOs. Representatives of civil associations and unions working on anti-corruption projects took part in the forum. The Center for the Study of Democracy was represented by Ms Denislava Simeonova, assistant to the Southeast European Legal Development Initiative (SELDI) and Coalition 2000.
