Open Government Initiative Announces New Anticorruption Grants Competition
At the end of September 2004 the Open Government Initiative Program announced a new round of small grants competition.The thematic areas of the new grants competition include:
- investigation of corrupt allegations;
- monitoring of public procurement process;
- monitoring of the implementation of National Audit Office (NAO) audit recommendations to the Parliament.
Maximum amount of funding should be 15,000 USD. The duration of projects should be up to 6 months and the deadline for submission of proposals is October 22, 2004. OGI will review and select the winning projects during the last week of October, so organizations should be ready to start proposed activities sometime early November 2004.
The English and Bulgarian version of the Request for Proposals will be also published on OGI web site - www.ogi-bg.org.
OGI will finance up to five projects and the funding is subject to availability of funds and quality proposals complying will all OGI requirements.
