From April 24 to 30, 2000, the Coalition 2000 Secretariat hosted a study visit of a group of representatives from Ukrainian NGOs. The visiting group included representatives from USAID-Kiev and Freedom House-Kiev. The objective was to meet Coalition 2000 partners - both from the public and private sector - and gain a broad perspective on the Coalition’s history, activities undertaken, the main players involved, structure and management, and implications and results from the anti-corruption efforts in Bulgaria.
As a follow up Coalition 2000 experts visited Ukraine in October 2000 for the purpose of transferring expertise in areas such as local ombudsman institutions, local service delivery monitoring, etc.
