| Exchange of best practices workshop - London, 24-27 April 2012

| In April 2012, during a four-day visit to London, representatives from CSD, the Bulgarian Internal
Security Directorate and the Romanian Anti-Corruption General Directorate participated in workshop
meetings with their colleagues from the anti-corruption unit of the Serious Organised Crime Agency
(SOCA), the Metropolitan Police (MET) and the UK Border Agency (UKBA). The main objective of
the meetings was to exchange experiences and share best practices in the field of anti-corruption
investigations and prevention.
The hosting partners provided an overview of the general institutional setup of anti-corruption bodies
tasked with prevention and countering of police corruption in the UK. The workshop participants further
discussed the UK experience related to the establishment of professional standards units, conduct of
integrity tests, data mining techniques, risk assessment methodologies, among others. | |
