Exchange of best practices workshop - Brussels, 12-14 June 2012
In June 2012 experts from CSD, the Bulgarian Internal Security Directorate and the Romanian Anti-
Corruption General Directorate met with representatives from the General Inspectorate of the Federal
and Local Police of Belgium (AIG) and the Central Office for the Repression of Corruption (OCRC). During
the meetings in Brussels, the Bulgarian and Romanian visitors were presented with sample cases of
anti-corruption investigations. The Belgian partners shared good practices and successful approaches
in investigating public procurement corruption, integrity testing of police officers, development of a
case management database, and conducting operations within Join Investigation Teams. The workshop
participants discussed the design and content of potential training sessions tailored to the needs of
police internal affairs departments in Bulgaria and Romania.
