From October 1, 2004 the City and Culture Foundation renewed the initiative Days of Open Doors in the institutions in Varna: municipality of Varna, the regional police department, district court of Varna, regional court of Varna, etc. During the Days of Open Doors high school students from Varna visited the major institutions in the city. The purpose of the visits was the young people to get acquainted with the powers and responsibilities of the state administration and the local authorities, with the investment needs of Varna district, etc.
The initiative is organized as part of a project titled University for Civic Culture implemented by City and Culture Foundation within the framework of the Civil Society Against Corruption Program of Coalition 2000. The first initiative Days of Open Doors was conducted in May 2004.
