Possibilities for the establishment of e-procurement practices in the framework of the future e-government in Bulgaria
The Center for Economic Development, the Open Government Initiative and the Applied Research and Communications Fund are jointly organizing a workshop meeting on “Possibilities for the establishment of e-procurement practices in the framework of the future e-government in Bulgaria”. It took place on September 17, 2003, at the office of the Center for Economic Development.
The meeting addressed issues such as future prospects, problems and possible solutions for the development of a well-functioning system for e-procurement. The round table was attended by representatives of the state administration (CoM, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Finance), which have a proved interest and hands-on experience in the implementation of e-government in Bulgaria.
Participants also reviewed the results achieved so far and proposed measures and mechanisms needed to speed up the implementation of specific e-procurement practices in the context of the state administration E-Government Strategy for the period 2003-2005.
