Threat Assessment of Bullying Behaviour in Youngsters: Transferring Internet Preventive Procedures in Europe

On the 16.12.2012 the Center for the Study of Democracy, together with Bulgaria’s Safer Internet Centre, started working in the second phase of project TABBY in Internet – Threat Assessment of Bullying Behaviour in Youngsters: Transferring Internet Preventive Procedures in Europe.

Together with the Coordinator from Italy and the old project partners from Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece and Cyprus, new partners from France, Spain and Poland joined the project.

In all the participating countries a training of teachers is to be conducted in order to explain how to work with teenagers in order to prevent cyber bullying. An online questionnaire will be filled-in at regular intervals to follow up the changes in pupils’ attitudes as a result of their training in cyberbullying prevention and to help them self-assess their behaviour.

In the framework of a project a video game is being developed as another method of self-assessment of bullying behaviour in the Internet.

* The project is co-funded by the EU, Daphne III Programme.
