Policy Briefing on Anticorruption in Bulgaria with representatives of the UK Royal College of Defense Studies
On October 2, 2003CSD experts took part in a policy briefing on anticorruption for representatives of the UK Royal College of Defense Studies (RCDS) who are on a 6-day study visit to Bulgaria. The main topics discussed with RCDS members were corruption and anticorruption policies in Bulgaria, organized crime, prevention of corruption in the security forces, smuggling in Southeast Europe, and public-private partnership for fighting corruption, all based on experience of CSD in these areas.
RCDS forms a part of the new UK Defence Academy. Its mission is to prepare senior officers and officials of the United Kingdom and other countries and future leaders from the private and public sectors for high responsibilities in their respective organizations by developing their analytical powers, knowledge of defense and international security, and strategic vision.
