Bulgarian Velikden Movement Foundation Launches an Initiative Against Corruption
On 22 August, 2004 the members of Bulgarian Velikden Movement Foundation, which is an independent, non-government and non-for-profit organization uniting Bulgarians from all over the world, announced their priorities for this and next year. “Counteracting corruption, the accession of the country to EU, building of effective state administration and judiciary are the priority areas for us,” said Krassimir Gadzhokov from the managing board of the movement.
The members of the foundation also initiated an on-line petition for amendments in the judiciary in support to the requirements set forth by the European Union for such amendments. The petition can be access at the foundation’s web site: http://www.bgvelikden.org.
