Round table Resolution of Out-of-court Conflicts in the Secondary School System Through the Establishment of the School Mediator Position
On 14 December, 2004, in Plovdiv the Bulgarian Association for Out-of-Court Conflict Resolution organized a final round table on the project Support and Assistance in Out-of-court Resolution of Conflict in the Sphere of Secondary Education Through the Establishment of School Mediators. The project is implemented within the framework of the Civil Society Against Corruption Program of Coalition 2000 and with the financial support of the US Agency for International Development.
Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, Plovdiv municipality, the Regional Inspectorate on Education–Plovdiv, primary schools participated in the round table. The main purpose of the discussion was to summarize the results of the project and to submit a proposal to the Ministry of Education and Science for including of training on efficient techniques of communication and mediation in the “Civil Education” section of the new Strategy for development of high school education.
