| Public Discussion Anticorruption Education and the Civic Counteraction of Corruption at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski

 On 25 January, 2005, at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Social Dialogue Foundation organized a final public discussion under the project Anticorruption Education and Civic Action Against Corruption in the Sofia University. The project was implemented in the framework of the Civil Society Against Corruption Program of Coalition 2000 and with the financial support of USAID. Prof. Dobrinka Temniskova - elected in November, 2004 as the first academic ombudsman of Sofia University - made a short report on the type of complaints from students and professors that were submitted to her office and the actions already undertaken as a response to those complaints.
 During the discussion were presented the results from a sociological survey titled Major Opinions and Notions about Corruption at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, which was conducted in the period March-April, 2004. The organizers of the event also presented an information brochure containing excerpts from selected project outputs: a program for anticorruption education in the Pedagogy Faculty of Sofia University; an analysis of the results from a sociological survey on the level of corruption at the university as perceived by its professors, students and administration; first results from the work of the newly established institution of the academic ombudsman at Sofia university.
