 A series of videoconferences, dedicated to Accounting and Auditing Regulation started on May 31, 2005. This advanced program is designed for management and professional staff, regulators and professional accounting and auditing bodies. It will be delivered in a number of locations in the ECA region. Leading international experts, including the World Bank, European Commission staff and new EU Member States’ representatives will help the participants to better understand the six main topics:
EU enlargement and the meaning of the Internal Market;
Accounting and auditing acquis communautaire;
International Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards on Auditing;
Oversight of the auditing profession;
International standard setting bodies; and
Financial sector supervision.
Participating countries include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Turkey, Serbia and Montenegro, and Ukraine.
