| Seminar: Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy

On 14 November 2007 the Ministry of Economy and Energy organized a seminar on the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy. Mr. Stefan Uzunov, Director of General Economic Policy Directorate to the Ministry presented a system for measuring the national competitiveness of Bulgaria. Dr. Konstantin Pashev, Senior Fellow at the Economic Program of the Center for the Study of Democracy presented Bulgaria’s position in the World Competitiveness Yearbook of IMD (International Institute for Management Development). According to the data of the Yearbook the greatest challenges that Bulgaria currently faces are the quality of the human capital, the business environment and the corporate governance.
