  Round Table: Energy Security in the Black Sea Region in the Wake of the Ukrainian Crisis
On 10 June 2014, the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD) co-hosted at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C. the roundtable Energy Security in the Black Sea Region in the Wake of the Ukrainian Crisis. The former Prime Minister of Bulgaria Mr. Boyko Borisov was a keynote speaker at the roundtable. On 9 June 2014 in Poznan, Poland, the Adam Mickiewicz University organised an academic conference on Improving Protection of Victims’ Rights: Access to Legal Aid. A new initiative in support of vulnerable groups
The Center for the Study of Democracy started the initiative Civic organizations: a Guarantee for Equal Rights of Vulnerable Groups before the State. It will be implemented in 2014-2016 and aims at creating good conditions for the work of organizations, helping vulnerable groups in their relations with institutions, in view of reducing discrimination, inequalities, poverty and social exclusion of those communities. more »
