  Public discussion on: Anticorruption Public Councils and the Local Public Mediators – Anticorruption Network in Pazardjik District
On May 30, 2006 in the Press-club of BTA in Pazardjik took place the final conference of the “Anticorruption network in Pazardjik District” project, organized by Crime Prevention Fund IGA. Representatives of 7 Municipalities in District Pazardjik – Belovo, Bratsigovo, Rakitovo, Lesichovo, Septemvri, Batak and Pazardjik attended the conference.

Round table: NATO’s nuclear policy and non-proliferation of WMD
On 11 April 2006 the Center for the Study of Democracy held a round table on NATO’s nuclear policy and non-proliferation of WMD. The aim of the event was to provide more information and clarity regarding NATO’s weapons of mass destruction (WMD) policy. The main speaker was Mr. Guy Roberts, Deputy Assistant Secretary General for WMD Policy and Director of the Nuclear Policy Directorate. On March 28, 2006, CSD organized a public discussion devoted to the incorporation in the Constitution of the ombudsman institution as well as to the specialized ombudsmen in Bulgaria.
