Kick-Off Meeting of the 2012 IPA Financed Projects
On 21 January 2013 in Brussels DG Enlargement organized the kick-off meeting of the IPA Civil Society Facility financed projects. The Center for the Study of Democracy is coordinator of one of the financed projects, entitled Civil Society for Good Governance and Anti-Corruption in Southeast Europe: Capacity Building for Monitoring, Advocacy and Awareness Raising. The project has as an objective to continue the mission of the SELDI initiative. more »
 
Seminar: Regional Workshop: EU Anti-Corruption Report
On 11 December 2012, the first Regional Workshop on the preparation of the EU Anti-Corruption Report was held in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was organised by the European Commission, Directorate General Home Affairs. The purpose of the event was twofold: to informing relevant stakeholders of the structure, content and ongoing work of the EC on the first EU Anti-Corruption Report to be published in 2013. Secondly, the workshop aimed at gathering practical information from various partners on specific to their countries good and less effective practices in the fight against corruption. more »

On 18 October 2012 the Center for the Study of Democracy organized a round table on the topic “Strategy for Registration Reform: 10 Years Later”. On 28-29 September 2012, a conference on “Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline: Challenges and Prospects for the Black Sea countries and the Balkans” was held in Istanbul, Turkey. The event was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Foundation and included participants from Turkey, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, USA, and UK. more »
