Vitosha Research conducted its regular survey on corruption perceptions among the population in Bulgaria between 18 – 26 November, 2004. This study is part of the Corruption Monitoring System of Coalition 2000. The results from the survey were presented at a press conference at the Center for the Study of Democracy on 21 December, 2004.
On June 30, 2004, Coalition 2000 and Vitosha Research presented the results from a survey Corruption practices in the Tax Administration, which was conducted in the period April 6 – 14, 2004. The study is part of the Corruption Monitoring System of Coalition 2000.
The number of actual corruption deals decreases as the frequency of cases, in which additional unofficial payments have been made for winning public procurement bids or obtaining contracts with larger companies. This is the main conclusion of the latest survey of Coalition 2000 carried out in March 30 – April 20, 2004. The results were presented on May 12, 2004 at the Center for the Study of Democracy.
Corruption pressure on citizens decreases as opposed to corruption pressure on the business, show the corruption indexes of the population for the first quarter of 2004 presented by Coalition 2000 on April 14, 2004 .
On March 17, 2004 Coalition 2000 presented the latest corruption indexes of the business sector based on a survey of businessmen in Bulgaria, conducted in February 2004.
On November 12, 2003, Coalition 2000 held a press conference in order to present its latest corruption indexes, based on the regular monitoring of the opinion of the population on corruption.
The judiciary is most severely affected by corruption, according to the survey results of Vitosha Research, announced at a press conference on September 10, 2003. Nearly 100 000 bribes were paid during the summer months, most of them asked by university lecturers, followed by police and customs officials.
A press conference to present Coalition 2000's corruption indexes of the business-sector and the general public for the first half of 2003 was held on June 10, 2003, at the Center for the Study of Democracy.
A press conference was held on February 10, 2003, in the press-club of the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency. The fourth annual Corruption Assessment Report for the year 2002 was presented in front of the media.
On November 28, 2002, at a press-coneference in the Center for the Study of Democracy, the Corruption Indexes of Coalition 2000 for the third quarter of 2002 were presented.
