The rapid development of information and communication technologies resulted in significant changes in both the legislation and the administration of justice. To respond to the new challenges of the information society the Law Program actively contributed to the development of the legal framework of new technologies drafting important pieces of legislation such as the Law on Registered Pledges and the Law on Electronic Document and Electronic Signature. The reform of the registration system towards the creation of modern electronic official registers is also part of the Law Program’s activities as are the increased introduction and use of information technologies in the work of the judiciary and law enforcement and the legal aspects of cyber security, in particular the legal regulation of cybercrime.
