MediaTrans: New technologies for the Media Sector
ARC Fund published a leaflet for medium and small enterprises in the media sector. The leaflet informs the SMEs about the multinational project MediaTrans and the possibilities the project opens for enhancing their competitiveness.
MediaTrans is a pilot project partly funded by the European Commission. It is implemented in co-operation with partners from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, India and Poland.
The aim of the project is to safeguard the competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies in the media sector.
The project includes:
1. Compilation of a "roadmap" charting future developments and trends in the media sector: The "Stuttgart Media University", together with other partners and with the aid of a survey of media experts, is compiling a technology roadmap to preview future technologies for the media sector (Time frame: 10-15 years)
2. Adaptation of the roadmap to specific company developments and needs
3. Identification of European fudning oportunities and co-operation partners by MediaTrans
All 3 steps are intended to equip the SMEs in the media sector for future developments.
