The Paris Declaration

The Paris Declaration puts forward a series of 10 measures to be implemented in order to drastically reduce international financial corruption.

The Paris Declaration was launched at the Sorbonne on June 19, 2003. 25 international figures, known for their battle against corruption and violations of human rights, have decided to support the Declaration. Amongst them, several Nobel Prize winners.

The Declaration was initiated by Eva Joly, former Examining Magistrate in France, currently Special Counselor to the Norwegian Government. Coalition 2000 has been cooperating with Judge Joly on the anti-corruption aspects of judicial reform in Bulgaria.

Eva Joly: “We cannot let corruption spread to the heart of power. Men and women, throughout the world, have agreed to lead this battle. It’s the Paris Declaration”.
