Countering corruption in Bulgaria needs to go further than institutional or legislative measures and be aimed at creating the kind of political and economic culture which is built on trust in public institutions, transparency and accountability of all actions of the public administration and a determination to achieve a stable and predictable economic and social environment. In the period October 13 and November 4, 2003, Vitosha Research conducted a survey of the "hidden economy" in the business sector, covering 421 companies from accross the country. The survey employed the method of the face-to-face interview. In the period October 4 - 15 2003 Vitosha Research conducted its regular survey on corruption among the Bulgarian population. This study is part of the Corruption Monitoring System of Coalition 2000. In the period 24.06 - 04.07 2003 Vitosha Research conducted its regular survey on corruption among the Bulgarian population. This study is part of the Corruption Monitoring System of Coalition 2000. A national survey was conducted at the end of June 2003 to study and assess the insurance market and services in Bulgaria. The survey was representative of the country's adult population. The size of the two-stage cluster sample was N=1057 covering the whole territory of the country. Information was collected by the method of the face-to-face in-home interview. In the period April 18- May 15, 2003 Vitosha Research conducted a marketing research study on the market of telephone services in the country. 1,077 respondents were interviewed face-to-face. The survey is representative of the country’s adult population. Based on the data obtained, as well as on the findings of previous surveys, a comparative report has been prepared that explores the dynamics of the market over a one-year period. The report presents key findings about the level of corruption and corruption related perceptions. The analysis is based on survey conducted among representatives of the judiciary system (n=454) - judges, prosecutors, investigators. In the period April 18- May 15, 2003 Vitosha Research conducted a marketing research study on the real estate market in Bulgaria. 1,077 respondents were interviewed face-to-face. The survey is representative of the country’s adult population. In the period April 18 - May 15, 2003 Vitosha Research conducted its regular survey on corruption among the Bulgarian population. This study is part of the Corruption Monitoring System of Coalition 2000. A marketing research study was conducted in the end of April 2003 to explore and evaluate the market for the different brands of washing powder in Bulgaria. The survey was representative of the country's adult population. The size of the multi-stage cluster sample was N=1077 respondents from across the country. Information was collected by the method of the face-to-face interview at respondents'homes.
