I. Highlights

As in previous years, the activities of ARC Fund in 2008 were largely focused on its two areas of expertise: innovation and information society. In both fields ARC Fund was aimed at delivering practical results, building expertise and knowledge, and conducting policy-relevant research feeding into strategy development and policy formulation.

• After 10 years as serving as IRC in Bulgaria, ARC Fund took over the coordinating role of the newly created EEN (Enterprise Europe Network) for the country. This time the consortium is larger – 11 organisation; the tasks are broader and more ambitious
• ARC Fund has established itself as premium public policy research organisation. Its analyses on innovation and ICT provide input to numerous strategic policy documents. A second volume of the Innovation book was prepared
