Ninth Annual Anticorruption Policy Forum
On 23 April 2007 the Center for the Study of Democracy held the Ninth Annual Anticorruption Policy Forum. The Forum is a high profile public event for anti-corruption initiatives, supporting the efforts of civil society and public institutions in the fight against corruption. The eighth consecutive Corruption Assessment Report, entitled “Anti-Corruption Reforms in Bulgaria: Key Results and Risks” was presented and discussed by the participants. The report presents an overview of anti-corruption reforms in Bulgaria in 2006 and 2007. more »
 
Conference: Replacing the Bureaucracy with Transparent, Responsible and Open towards the Citizens Governance
On 27 March 2007 Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB)and Konrad Adenauer Foundation, in cooperation with the Foundation for Local Government Reform held a conference on transparent, responsible and open towards the citizens governance. During the event Mr. Ruslan Stefanov, Coordinator of the Economic Program at the Center for the Study of Democracy presented data on the institutional dissemination of corruption in Bulgaria. more »
 
Round Table: Benchmarking Corruption in the European Union - Bulgarian Experience
On 22 March 2007 the Center for the Study of Democracy in cooperation with the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior and the Bulgarian Embassy in Germany organized a round table on Benchmarking Corruption in the European Union. The round table aimed to encourage an EU wide debate on an agreed methodology for benchmarking corruption by taking stock of the experience of Bulgaria’s accession. more »
 
Round table: Benchmarking Corruption in the European Union
On 14 February 2007, the Center for the Study of Democracy, together with the Bulgarian Permanent Representation to the European Union hosted a round table on Benchmarking Corruption in the European Union. Keynote speaker at the discussion was Bulgaria’s Minister of Interior Roumen Petkov. more »
 
Round Table: Monitoring of Anti-Corruption Reforms in Bulgaria
On January 30, 2007 the Center for the Study of Democracy, in cooperation with the Commission for the Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption (CPCC) of the Bulgarian government, organized a round table discussion on the monitoring of anti-corruption reforms in Bulgaria. The discussion focused on the system of indicators for the assessment of the implementation of the Bulgarian government’s anti-corruption strategy and the latest results of CSD’s diagnostics of corruption in the business sector. more »
