National Contest ‘Innovative Enterprise of the Year’

To acknowledge the innovative thrust of Bulgarian enterprises, including start-ups, on the national and global market, the ARC Fund runs the contest Innovative Enterprise of the Year. The award serves to highlight successful Bulgarian business models based on innovation and new technologies, and helps enterprises get the much deserved public attention.

Based on in-depth technology audits and data provided by the companies pre-selected by an expert panel, a jury made up of leading Bulgarian organisations and public institutions evaluates the innovation performance of finalists following a special methodology in several categories:

-    Market leadership
-    Quality of life
-    Green Innovation
-    Innovation Management
-    Social Innovation
-    Innovation for talent development/support
-    Innovative start-up enterprise (up to three years from establishment)
-    Innovation in creative industries

Excellence in Innovation

The ARC Fund has also introduced the Excellence in Innovation label awarded to the finalists at the Innovative Enterprise of the Year national contest.

The label recognises the excellence, impact and efficiency of cutting-edge innovations developed by Bulgarian enterprises. The criteria behind awarding the right to use the Excellence in Innovation label are: high quality and originality, impact on the national and global market, the environment and society, and efficiency of the business model.
