28.11.2006 - New Members of the Public Council for Safer Internet
At a meeting on November 28, 2006 the Public Council for Safer Internet voted two organizations for new members of the body that supervizes the operation of the Bulgarian Hotline for reporting Illegal and Harmful Content in Internet.  more »

30.09.2006 - 01.10.2006 - IT Brokerage Event organized in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 30 September – 1 October 2006
IRC-Bulgaria and partners in the European IST consortium, in which ARC Fund also participates, organised a two-day brokerage event in Thessaloniki (Greece) during the 20th INFOSYSTEM Fair. The event was focused mainly on information technologies, telecommunications and digital technologies, which were also the Fair’s main topics. An IT conference was held in parallel to the brokerage.  more »

01.08.2006 - Bulgarian Safer Internet Hotline Presented to 60 Child Welfare Organizations
ARC Fund, the operator of the Bulgarian Hotline against illegal and harmful Internet content, presented the Hotline and its procedures at a 4-day conference held in Bansko on July 27-30, 2006.  more »

05.07.2006 - Bulgarian Internet Community Meets Google Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist Dr. Vint Cerf
On July 5th ARC Fund hosted a meeting with Dr. Vint Cerf, Vice President and chief Internet evangelist for Google, and Ms. Esther Dyson, author of the book Release 2.0. The event was organized as part of the program of a high-level international delegation of IT experts visiting Bulgaria, who met key players in the country's Internet and ICT community.  more »

28.06.2006 - Safer Internet Conference in Bulgaria
A conference on “Safer Use of Internet by Children” was organized by ARC Fund on June 28, 2006 in Sofia, with the support of the Council of Europe’s Information Centre and under the auspices of the Public Council on Safer Internet. The conference is part of ARC Fund’s efforts to fight the distribution of harmful and illegal online content on Bulgarian websites, which is the main objective of a EU supported project under the Safer Internet Program launched in August 2005.  more »

09.05.2006 - Safer Internet Hotline Goes Operational in Bulgaria
A Bulgarian Hotline for reporting illegal and harmful Internet content went operational after a Public Council adopted its operational procedures on May 9, 2006.  more »

14.04.2006 - Public Council to Oversee Safer Internet Use in Bulgaria
On 14th April 2006 ARC Fund convened the founding meeting of a Public Council on Safer Internet Use in Bulgaria. The council will oversee the activities of a national Safer Internet Hotline, which ARC Fund operates since September last year as part of the EU Safer Internet Program.  more »

31.03.2006 - 01.04.2006 - IST Training for Researchers and SMEs
ARC Fund, jointly with the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies (www.basscom.org), organized a training seminar on the “EU Framework Programs as Instruments for RTD Support” on March 31-April 1, 2006 in Sofia. The seminar was a joint event of the IST Bonus (http://www.ist-bonus.net/) consortium and the European IST (www.european-ist.net) project.  more »

07.02.2006 - 15.02.2006 - ARC Fund participated in the Safer Internet Information Day 2006
ARC Fund took active part in the international Safer Internet Day on 7th of February together with the State Agency for Information Technologies and Communications of Bulgaria. Insafe, the EU’s internet safety awareness network organized a “blogathon”.  more »
